As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe strongly in the mind-body connection and the role the nervous system plays in everyday life and functioning. I believe strongly in taking into account an individuals’ whole being in order to facilitate holistic change and growth.
Welcome! I work hard to create an accepting atmosphere and meet my clients wherever they are at in their life journey. Whether you are a teen beginning to learn who you are and face life’s challenges, or an adult wanting to work on self improvement or process trauma, together we will work to create a treatment tailored just to you in order to facilitate the desired change and growth.
I take an eclectic approach to the therapeutic modalities I use with my clients. As a neuro-informed therapist, I draw on my understanding of the brain and nervous system to help clients recognize and make sense of their different nervous system states, and how these states influence their daily functioning. I frequently support individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, and trauma, guiding them to view their nervous system as an asset rather than a persistent source of distress.
Through this work, clients learn how to regulate their nervous system, increasing their sense of control and comfort within their own bodies. This foundation not only improves day-to-day well-being but also prepares clients to engage more effectively in EMDR therapy. EMDR is a powerful modality that can support individuals experiencing PTSD, trauma, OCD, and phobias by helping them process and integrate distressing experiences.
As someone who has struggled with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), I understand how truly distressing and impairing this disorder can be. With this said, I have also seen firsthand how extremely beneficial therapy can be in treating this disorder, as well as the potential therapy has to help clients learn to thrive with the uniqueness of it. It can be easy to feel scared or misunderstood when facing OCD.
I work hard to create a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment for all my clients, including those who believe they have bizarre or shameful obsessions. Whether you are just beginning to learn about your OCD, or you’re a seasoned pro just looking for some support, I’d be happy to come alongside you in your journey.

My StoryBefore my career as a therapist, I spent numerous years working with children, which fostered a heart for working with kiddos and their developing minds. In more recent years, I have enjoyed working with adults to support them at any age and stage of life they are in, and any difficulties that come with.
In my free time, I enjoy grounding myself in nature - whether with a walk, a hike, or a run. I take joy in spending time with family or grabbing a simple cup of coffee with a friend. I enjoy being spontaneous and choosing a new state or country to travel to on occasion. Continuing to learn about the field of psychotherapy is also important to me, so it’s not uncommon to find me listening to educational audiobooks and continued trainings.
It is a privilege to be a part of all of my clients' therapy journeys as they heal, gain insight into themselves, and become empowered to live the lives they wish to. Together we take into account your beliefs, culture, relationships, and other aspects that make you a unique individual, in order to gear your treatment to best support and benefit you. We will work to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals. Please feel free to reach out for more info!
I offer sessions in person and via telehealth at our Folsom and Loomis locations. Weekends available!
