I am deeply passionate about helping children, teens, and families navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that life presents. My goal is to support you in finding healing, wholeness, andjoy in your life.

Do you have a child or teen who is acting out at home or school and you find yourself feeling overwhelmed as to how to manage or how to help? Or perhaps they’re withdrawn and anxious and this has you concerned. As a parent, it can be challenging to know how best to support your child through these big emotions and behaviors. Many children and teens today are struggling with anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. These struggles often lead to acting out at home or school, and it can be difficult for them to understand or articulate why they feel the way they do. The constant cycle of negative feedback from teachers and school staff and turmoil at home can be discouraging, leaving you unsure of who to turn to for guidance or how to advocate for your child.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, working with children, teens, and families to help them better understand and manage their emotions. Using play, art, and sand tray therapy, I am able to create a compassionate, fun, and supportive space where children can explore their thoughts and feelings. I’ve found that collaborating with families to provide the right tools and support for their children leads to the best long-term outcomes, especially when it comes to emotional regulation and overall well-being.

My Story

As a wife of 26 years and a mother of five, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that life brings. Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a preschool teacher, and one of my greatest joys is connecting with children and teens exactly where they are, seeing them for who they truly are, and meeting them in the present moment.

In my career as a therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I understand how difficult and confusing it can be to navigate trauma, and I am honored to walk alongside each person on their healing journey.

My passion for working alongside women and mothers is encompassed in my understanding of the complexities of life as a woman and mother. By offering tailored interventions, I empower women to learn to care for themselves, manage stress, and develop coping strategies; fostering both emotional healing and long-term mental health gains. In this therapeutic space that’s designed just for you, together we can help you to regain your sense of self while navigating stressors that are unique to being a woman as well as the profound changes that come with motherhood.

It would be a privilege to work with you as you begin or continue your therapeutic journey. My approach is grounded in creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore yourself more deeply, develop new tools for resilience, and begin to rediscover the small joys in everyday life. I’d love to work with you and/or your family. I’m looking forward to hearing from you! We can do this. Let’s get started!
